Busy Girl

We have had two of our first major injuries this week- first she touched her hand to a hot surface and got a little burn on the back of her fingers then last night she was running downhill on a concrete sidewalk, tripped and scraped her nose. I am sure this will be the first of a long string of boo-boos with this little girl. Makes me realize how steeped into toddler-hood we are now and that I need to stock up on bandaids. She hits the 18 month mark in 16 days. She is so adventurous and determined. She loves the freedom of her budding abilities yet her frustrations stem from her not being able to in her current stage of physical development accomplish what her little mind has set out to do. She want so badly to be a part of everything we are doing and help out, especially chores she sees us do on a regular basis. That eagerness lead to the first boo-boo and I know it won’t be the last. Hopefully I can do a better job facilitating her desire to participate and help while enforcing what are safe parameters for her.
