Hi, we're Matalie.
Matt + Natalie = Matalie.
Many years ago, we decided to fuse our lives into One, even dubbing our names together. Since, some odd math has happened- Two became One, now One has become Five.
This is our life. A life comprised of the day-to-day, the joy, the laughter, all the ups and downs captured through photography in effort to chronicle this bizarre, beautiful, and often hilarious journey we're on.
In short, this blog aims to capture aspects of daily life here in Seattle with our family. We have three little girls- a 3 1/2 year old, a 2 year old and a 9 month old. Life’s activities and experiences are multi-faceted but find there is always an underlying current. This reveals itself in the integration and intertwining of core areas we immerse ourselves in and always come back to- We see the world through a designer's eye, having been trained and worked in Architecture, Design and Photography. Creativity and design surface in so many different areas, even this space can't be pigeon-holed into a single category- it is a hodge-podge of things- a photography blog, a parenting blog, a craft blog, a design blog, a random thoughts blog a life blog. Most of the things we do come forth out of our interests and passions. Above all, we aim to make this a record of my daily experiences- as a wife, a husband, as we raise kids, as we create things- and through it all be able to stop and notice the beauty, wonder and development in the daily things we get to call Life.
